The Lectrosonics Replacement Battery Door Kit for WM Transmitters includes 2 pre-assembled battery doors, 2 O-rings, 2 lanyards, a thumbscrew and an Allen wrench for installation. The battery cap contains moisture-absorbing desiccant beads to protect the interior of the transmitter from excess humidity. The kit can be used to update early WM transmitters or to replace lost or damaged caps.
Beads are amber/orange in color when they are able to absorb moisture. After absorbing enough moisture, the desiccant beads become ineffective and turn green or blue. To recharge the desiccant beads, they must be heated to 200 to 400deg.F for at least an hour, preferably more. The desiccant beads, silicone O-ring seals and doors can withstand a maximum temperature of up to 400deg.F (205deg.C). Includes moisture-absorbing desiccant beads inside caps .The Beads are stored inside the cap to absorb moisture through the vent holes.
